Across the Yorkshire Dales to Middleham

Sunday Nov 13 was a beautiful sunny day. But alas, the sun lasted only the one day. A typical Yorkshire Dales image near Semer Water southeast of Hawes.

Semer Water reflections on a rare day of calm.

Middleham Castle with one of the largest "keeps" in a British castle.

A beautiful display of fruit from a winter berry plant "pyracantha firehorn" in Middleham.

The English are famous for putting post boxes in some very remote areas. This one is in the lovely but sparcely populated Langstrothdale which we travelled through enroute home. Well worth another visit on a sunny day.

Quite lovely. They're quite nice too at making you wish you lived in the UK rather than America.
